Ode To The Moon

Ode To The Moon

A Poem by Beautifully Tragic xPoetry Queen

No clouds can take away

The pearlish glamour of reflection

Below where the waves move

Dance, to your sweetest perfection

Dreams come alive

In your starry kingdom sky

Protecting from the nightmares

Giving a reason to cry

Romance and passion

Given off from your light

To a couple's reminicing

Cupid's wings taking flight

A pure simple sight

Of comfort and contempt

Contacting the divine spirits

A child should not attempt

An inspiration to the Earth

One more treasure to her glory

Full of mystery and wisdom

With an enchanting filled story

Elegance and beauty

Shining freedom from above

You linger in the simple minds,

Sending us your pearly love

Truly a sea of tranquility. :)
Really flows nicely, with great descriptions and rhyming.
There are a lot of concepts here, to show the different sides of the moon, but eventually it all come down to "linger in the simple minds" - it makes us think, makes us feel, makes us better.
Very enjoyable, as usual.

Fine choice of words especailly this grouping...

No clouds can take away

The pearlish glamour of reflection

Below where the waves move

Dance, to your sweetest perfection

You can't help but be there in the splender of it all...Nice work

The moon really attracts my attention so it's great to see such a beautiful poem dedicated! I like how you brought about different aspects with the moon in your poem that the typical ones. Great writing!
This is beautiful....
"Romance and passion
Given off from your light
To a couple's reminicing
Cupid's wings taking flight"
Your poem sets the stage and the moon comes out and gives a bow!!

I have a kinship with the moon. I liked the way you wrote this and the way it made me smile to myself about the feelings that is made me feel. I am always so happy to have a piece spark something inside me. Which this piece did and so much more. The feeling of peace and contentment came rushing over me as I read this.

Well Done!!!!!!

Rayne, you have outdone yourself, this time. Mixing the romantic and physical views of the Moon in perfect harmony. Sigh. Thank you for sharing the beautiful poem with us.
