Death In The World's Hands

the things that run through my head....im assuming this is some hidden demon, as i'm feeling quite content today so i have no idea where this came from.

"

She always seemed so pleasant in the society's eyes. They would tell her she had a heart of gold and was the nicest person they've ever met, like a rare diamond in the rough. They knew of her trials and tribulations that she kept to her self in some secret way. Her muses would save her from the pain she endured throughout her lifetime, no matter how much she screamed, no matter how many tears she cried - they paid no attention. She began living in her own fantasy world, dreams and thoughts that over flooded in her lonely dark heart.

She yearned for passion and romance but recieved none. There was a time where she believed she had found love, few times actually. The first time she was humiliated by her entire high school and was threatened to meet a timely death. The second time it was like she was in heaven, everything was going so perfectly until something changed. She was abused. With no friends, and no true love in her life, not even her mother wanted her in her life. She had no where else to turn, thinking of ways to end the pain and life she lived.

It was a death in the world's hands. I wonder if she's happier where she is.

Had one taken a closer look at this "pleasant" girl, I can only imagine that they would have seen the pain and despair that obviously tormented her soul. How sad that someone can become so disheartened that they would take their own life. Sadder though, that anyone could make her feel so unwanted that she felt she had no choice. This was a powerful piece and really makes one feel for the subject. Thank you for sharing it. ~Lorna Lee

the world can be a cruel place - that is certain - and those supports of some sort, friends or family - matters not which - are necessary if we are to survive. whereever this piece may have come from - it is a touching and tragic tale - a very well written piece.
