inspired by the scent of roses, that doesnt even exist in my house. hmm. interesting.

bleeding crimson

scars of my aching heart

the smell of a dozen roses

fade, and wither away

of a once passionate romance

Yup, those are roses alright. Reading this poem meant a lot more to me than you think. I'm a sucker for roses, yet I know the beauty, love, and pain that they represent, especially when they wither away... Story of my life. Anyways, this lil' is nicely short, sweet, and to the point! The figurative language you display are to die for. ;) Thanks for posting. ^^

i could feel the sense of timeless capture, as you romantically enhance
the vision of roses, and what the color signifies, and how symbolically
the foundation for which your words are built uponis made with
the pain of a broken heart, as seen trhough the eyes of a true poet,
in saying how this vision is artfully invented, the metaphorical aspect
really speaks to the readers soul, just as it should heartbreakingly beautiful,
