Thunder (Sleepless Night)

Thunder (Sleepless Night)

A Poem by Beautifully Tragic xPoetry Queen
"

me feeling creative writing whatever comes to mind during a thunderstorm.

"

Silence before the storm

The thunder begins to roar

Echoing through,

Blackened midnight skies

The wind howls, whispering your name

As I listen to the words

Of a bittersweet song

Rain begins to pour

The thunder rolls

And the lightning strikes,

Here I am again

Another sleepless night

I actually find myself sleeping better to the sound of rain or storm.
There's just something very primal about it, something natural and secure.
But weather is also a great inspiration for writers, whether it's writing in the park on a spring day or staying indoors watching the rain through the window.

This poem is very dark, haunted by thoughts and sleep deprivation.
Really enjoyed reading it.

i loved how you opened this writng, as being the silence before the sorm, the still moment before the rain falls, the haunting seconds time stands still as the skies fill with the clouds of loneliness, you surrendered this with soul moving effect, i really enjoyed how the overall vision came togther, and how the graphic words beautifully to match the scenery, to the words, i could feel myself taken to another place and time,
as a reflection of your writing ability, imagination and creativeness, well done, mike
