Where Did I Go Wrong

Where Did I Go Wrong

A Poem by Beautifully Tragic xPoetry Queen
"

a bit of a rant poem about friendships, life and such

"

Taking a glance

At the girl standing before me

Looking at my reflection

Demons that wont let me be

Once shy and quiet

Well, look at me now

Annoyed with myself,

All I can do is frown

They say don't blame yourself

But I don't even try

Hiding behind this smile

All I want to know is why

Friendships came and gone

Leaving me more broken

Shoving me off the cliff's edge

Some things are better left unspoken

A loved one lost

So special to my heart

It continues to weep

Since the day we had to part

I'm told I have

A heart of gold

So why am I still here

Feeling so very alone

Then they tell me

Just go away

I wish you would die

And no longer stay

If suicide,

Was so easy to do

I'd stop writing

Til my days were through

Alone, and still broken

This passion of mine stays

Surviving by a thin thread

For all my days

But still, I sit and wonder

Where did I go wrong?

Every relationship I had

In the dust and gone

rayne, your words project an amazing emotional as well as visual transference,
i can say it has an impacting effect on the heart that just about brings tears
to the heart, this brilliant poem reflects how words define who you are,
and what the heart finds as encouragement to maintain, many aspects could
be pondered in light of the subject matter, also shows the bare soul,
the rhythm has a specific flow of thought, and patterned to beat, of the
heart, i really loved this poem, its heartbreaking, moving and encouraging
to the reader, in way of adversity, and what it takes to overcome, mike

The worst thing a person with your condition to do is.."give up." I am disabled with neurocardiogenicsyncope.....I could have laid down and died..I put on Christ and He walks along side of me through the rough times..I found that a ill person loses friends just because they are ill...Sad as those that walk away do not know what their fate is..They could be ill and deserted some day..Hugs and warm wishes...God bless...Valentine

People tell us that time will heal all wounds. Rubbish, maybe for physical wounds, but not for those of the heart. Rayne, your emotions are real and should be allow to release them, before they become toxic to your soul. Its so easy to advise other from afar. Wish i could reach through the monitor and give you, a shoulder to cry upon and a tender hug of support. Thank you for sharing this very emotional poem with us.
