I Am I

I Am I

A Poem by Beautifully Tragic xPoetry Queen
"

I am passionate about my writing. So think what you want of me... but thats how it is.

"

I am free as bird

Soaring through poetic clouds

On silent wings

Of my celestial beings

I am the creation

The source of a cruel world

Heartbreak and depression

Afraid of my own reflection

I am shadow in the night

Stalking chaos, watching

With my eyes wide open

Words are my remedy

The cure of my disease

A raging plague that lives on

A passion that dies with me

I am my own creation

What the world has made of me

The reason my demons rejoice

Poeticly passionate, my drug of choice

I Am I

"A bone heals

A bruise fades

But Art is forever"

OTEP - 'SELF MADE'

I do believe an truly creative being has something that rest at the very core of their being that drives them and if they do not listen it would eventually cause them to go mad. You seem to listen to this part of yourself wonderfully some would call it a muse but I call it survival. We write because we have to release things from ourselves that is such powerful driving force if we did not I am not exactly sure what might end up happening. I say cheers to listening to yours and never become silent that in itself is worst than death.

Well Done!!!!!

if only words were the thing we lived on! or we considered them as our only valuables. like you said words are the remedy but it can also be the source of heartbreaks.

Words are a good drug to choose, then. There are many less appealing alternatives.

You've written an excellent poem explaining your need for communicating through the written word. Something so essential to your makeup must always find an outlet.

Thank you for writing this great poem.

A sweet addiction it is, but oh such a cruel taskmaster. A beautiful poem. Thank you.

Very nice. Full of everything a poem should be, emotions and self expression.

This is a really moving piece of poetry for any and all forms of art. It shows people how much better life is when we do have a sense of beauty that we know and can express for others. God job.

That was very beautiful.

'Words are my remedy
The cure of my disease
A raging plague that lives on
A passion that dies with me"

Love those lines. I too choose the pen ( or I guess that I should also include the keyboard), to fight my depression disease if that is what you would call it.
I am not sure if we have the same ailments but it seems we have found the same "so called" cure.
Write on!
Love All,
