Rain, Rain Go Away

Came to mind as it was pouring outside...

 

 

Rain, rain go away

Come again another day

Wishing these tears would soon fade

Wanting my world a more colorful shade

 

Thunder is roaring

My tears have been flowing

As the rain comes pouring down

If this goes on forever, I may soon drown

 

Winds whip and thrash

This soul is like a piece of trash

Nothing more than a useless slave

When there was nothing but love I gave

 

Ghostflowers have been picked from my soul

All the feelings, I cannot control

Clipped off my wings, I can no longer fly

All I can do, is sit here to cry

 

Baring these scars, wearing them on my sleeve

Ignoring existence, my heart does grieve

A blurry vision

A poor decision

 

Rain, rain go away

Come again another day

As I keep moving on

Until the day I'm gone.

Lovely shape and form here. I liked the way you took a traditional verse and made more of it. I loved the way emotions are tied in with the weather and events around us. It seems so apt. These sort of feelings can leave us storm tossed and fearful. Good stuff! :-)
