Insanity

Thought this was gone forever.

Emotions grind

In the depths of my skull

Thoughts spiraling

As sanity slowly fades

 

Darkness and light

Fight to the death

A battle of war

Inside my head

 

Predictable rain pours

Emptiness and regret

Can't escape these black clouds

Hovering daily over me

 

Rage builds up

A dragon's breath of fire

As the memories scream

Unleashing all my demons

 

Empty wrath

Deadly revenge

Wasted on my own life

Building up inside my soul

You really wrote this from the inside of this person. It's funny how in some ways writers are like actors...we can dig deep inside a character and write their world as if it were our own. Excellent work here...a wonderfully evocative and moody piece :)

Emotions are supposedly soft and wispy but when 'emotions grind' you feel the intensity and power they conceal and what torment they can cause

A wonderful depiction on the internal workings of an individual dealing with some hard issues .... depression and yes I can definetly see the insanity part of it as well .... I love it..... the entire thing :)
