Stricken

Stricken

A Poem by Beautifully Tragic xPoetry Queen

Stricken
Between love and hate
Too much confusion
For my heart to take

Stricken
Between truth and lies
Neverending misery
Contemplated demise

Not sure
Which way to turn
Pain and love
Inside, I burn

Dying slowly inside
In this land of confusion
Caught in this trap
This devastating delusion

Can't let go
Though my heart is cold
Frozen in the nothingness
Breaking this fragile mold

Scars are still visible
From past and present loves
Standing strong though
When pushes turn into shoves

Stricken
Between life and death
I'll go on living
'Til my final breath

Rayne, if a heartbreak can inspire this emotionally powerful poem. Wonder, what you would write, when you find that special person, whom you can trust with your innermost secrets and desires. Am looking forward to the day that this happens. Thank you for sharing this very emotional poem with us.
