Lost At Sea

 

Lost in this ocean

So far and wide

Alone, in my boat

Riding out this tide

 

Winds whipping

As a storm moves in

I'm stuck in this battle

I just can't win

 

Rough ocean tides

Pull me away from the shore

Not sure which way to turn

Can't take this anymore

 

Everyone I've counted on

Has left me here to drown

No one sees these ocean of tears

And love has let me down

 

The rain has started

Pouring down on me

Hoping I see the shore soon

And I'm no longer lost at sea

I really enjoyed this. You create a astrong emotional mood, and the poem seems to empathise with the difficult decisions and hardships we all face. It could flow a little better but the rhyming is good. Sterling work.

Great poem.
"No one sees these ocean of tears", the wording of this line threw me off. I had to start over. :)
