Inner Darkness

Dark days of high school.... but thats all over with

Darkness is her light

She knows nothing but pain

Waiting impatiently for her fate

As her tears turn in to rain

 

Hopelessly, she knows

There must be some light

But at the end of the dark tunnel

There is none in sight

 

She spends her days

At the very edge of the blade

Strawberry gashes

Some may never fade

 

She waits for someone

Someone, to make her feel whole

Slipping away, losing hope

A downward spiral, losing all control

 

All she sees

So much hate and rejection

Abuse and almost rape

Needing some kind of protection

 

Drowning in the ocean tide

No one to pull her to shore

Each day, growing weaker

She can not take anymore

 

Like some supernatural

Something finally will save

A calling she knows very well

Living with an art that saves

you know why people hardly ever write about others pain only there own. well my opinion is they dont know how to (or theyre really selfish lol) well anyway you can and you did a great job on this poem. I really felt for the nameless girl.

A dark and sad poem. A hard subject to write about, and one that sounds very personal too. A good write for a subject so many would not wish to see. XX

good poem, interesting subject. Very sad subject I think... personally, I wouldn't have gone with the rhyming structure of this poem; it kind of feels odd alongside the actual meaning of the poem. Almost too neat. But I think that's probably just the way i do things... Yes, well, anyway, still a very good poem.
