Redone sonnet.

Redone sonnet.

A Poem by Jennifer Ellen

Do you see the sky in all its glory?

With the light that shines down from above,

I will tell you this, a simple story,

Maybe it will be of tragedy, or love,

I dedicated my heart with all its faults,

To something that I could not live without,

I called it the Shakespearean waltz.

But for which I could not even amount,

To the same light in the broken sky,

That once gave Shakespeare inspiring light,

Now only gives me the lack of hope to try,

For I cannot amount to his might,

Would he be proud of whom he inspired?

And the way she perceived the inferior world?

Beautifully sad :) I like this version better than the last, definitely! I love how you played with the idea of Shakespeare's genius and brought him into a new light, into the modern world. Kind of makes you think what he would think about all the media in today's world.

I am a beautifully broken poet. I wonder why the world has so much hate in it. I hear my heart beat loud as I look at what’s to come in my life. I see the words from my heart flow out and ont.. more..
