Sonnet

Sonnet

A Poem by Jennifer Ellen
"

My first try.

"

Do you see the sky in all its glory?

With the light that shines down from above,

I will tell you this, a simple story,

Maybe it will be of tragedy, or love,

I dedicate my heart and my soul,

To the thing that gave a sweet sound,

I am becoming weak for it stole,

The sanity that made the sky crash down,

The light of the gloomy broken sky,

That once gave the gloomy world light,

Now only gives me the lack of hope to try,

But once I get my unclouded sight,

I will learn from the written faults,

That started with the Shakespearean waltz.

Awesome for a first try! The words flow so smoothly, too...like a bird singing a sad song :)

The last two lines sum up this poem the best and this poem is a bit sad with events that have turned this poets world upside down. I like the descriptions and emotions you have poured into this piece.

I likes this a lot. It reminds me of how I make my poems and the true meaning they're suppose to give off... Very nice.

About
I am a beautifully broken poet. I wonder why the world has so much hate in it. I hear my heart beat loud as I look at what’s to come in my life. I see the words from my heart flow out and ont.. more..
