The Locket

The Locket

A Poem by Jennifer Ellen

Do you see her,

Sitting there,

Filled with anger,

She doesn't belong anywhere,

Left in this broken land,

Torn to bits,

Making life seem so bland,

She just wants to call it quits,

She hates the reminder of the pain,

{The rain wound around my finger,

Like a remeberence string,

of the pain,

Something hidden in my pocket,

a special remberence,

a little locket.}

You promised me love,

But you broke it,

You broke me,

On that hill,

I buryed the locket,

under the tree,

{The rain wound around my finger,

Like a remeberence string,

of the pain,

Something hidden in my pocket,

a special remberence,

a little locket.}

How could such a small thing,

Cause so much pain,

Its made me collapse,

To my knees in the pouring rain,

I tried to hide my tears but,

{The rain wound around my finger,

Like a remeberence string,

of the pain,

Something hidden in my pocket,

a special remberence,

a little locket.}

I think of words,

I can not say,

I think the words,

I love the in this way,

{The rain wound around my finger,

Like a remeberence string,

of the pain,

Something hidden in my pocket,

a special remberence,

a little locket.}

About
I am a beautifully broken poet. I wonder why the world has so much hate in it. I hear my heart beat loud as I look at what’s to come in my life. I see the words from my heart flow out and ont.. more..
