My Downfall

My Downfall

A Poem by Jennifer Ellen
"

I got my inspiration for the chorus from one of Daniel Bryants Songs.

"

I'm not going to answer your call,

Your sorrys mean nothing at all,

I'm tired of sitting and waiting,

For something that only breaks me,

{What do you say to a heart thats been broken?

What do you say to a heart that can't be mended?

This is my downfall,

As I walk the halls,

I stop and watch-

watch you walk away,}

Is it possible,

Do you want to be something more?

Do you want your heart to soar?

Just like it used to,

Remember I love you,

So can we go back to the way we were,

Because my heart is torn,

And my reality is shot,

Baby, this isn't how its meant to be,

This isn't the right reality,

{What do you say to a heart thats been broken?

What do you say to a heart that can't be mended?

This is my downfall,

As I walk the halls,

I stop and watch-

watch you walk away,

And never look back,

It's over at last.}

About
I am a beautifully broken poet. I wonder why the world has so much hate in it. I hear my heart beat loud as I look at what’s to come in my life. I see the words from my heart flow out and ont.. more..
