Wall of Fear

Wall of Fear

A Poem by Jennifer Ellen

Can you see her,

Through the wall of fear,

Trembling,

Do you have the key,

To set her free,

From this terror,

This wall is built up so high,

Around her,

Trapping her inside,

Letter her sufficate,

In fears unspoken,

{Raise this wall to the ground,

Destroy the silence that lingers,

She pretends nothing is wrong,

And this string around her finger,

Is just a reminder of the past,

She thinks she can face anything,

As long as she hides behind this mask,

She pretends to be stong,

But yet the simplist words can destroy her,}

She hides behind this barrior,

Hidden in her shattered heart,

She's drownding my dear,

Drowneding herself,

in terror,

{Raise this wall to the ground,

Destroy the silence that lingers,

She pretends nothing is wrong,

And this string around her finger,

Is just a reminder of the past,

She thinks she can face anything,

As long as she hides behind this mask,

She pretends to be stong,

But yet the simplist words can destroy her,}

Author's Note

Jennifer Ellen
In the first verse, i would like to change the word terror, i feel as tho it doesn't go well. I also think i might need to put the {chorus} in a few more times.

About
I am a beautifully broken poet. I wonder why the world has so much hate in it. I hear my heart beat loud as I look at what’s to come in my life. I see the words from my heart flow out and ont.. more..
