This Girl. (Her World.)

This Girl. (Her World.)

A Poem by Jennifer Ellen

Do you see this?
This little girl?
Oh how she has dreamed for the world.
She wants to hold it in her hand.
Her tiny little hand.
Her imagination so big and beautiful.
She dreamed she could have anything she wanted.
Her dreams were unstoppable.
But she soon grew up.
And lost sight of her dreams.
Till one day she was walking through the park.
With a boy.
The one she had fallen for.
Cause of the way his smile made her day so bright.
She was telling her childhood secrets to this boy.
About how she dreamed of the world.
How she would imagine the world in her tiny hands.
But as she grew up she knew that he dream wasn’t possible.
But the boy replied. "I'll be your world, if you'll be mine."
She walked away hand in hand with her love,
Her future,
And Her world.

Awww this was really sweet! It had the perfect mixture of hope in the beginning, sadness in the middle, and happiness in the end.

The one problem I have with this is how you put a period at the end of every line. It interrupts the flow, and makes the rhythm somewhat awkward. But without some of those periods, it seems to flow nicely.

About
I am a beautifully broken poet. I wonder why the world has so much hate in it. I hear my heart beat loud as I look at what’s to come in my life. I see the words from my heart flow out and ont.. more..
