Blue Eyed Angel

Blue Eyed Angel

A Poem by Jennifer Ellen

Bare foot,
Hair mattered,
legs scraped,
Running,
I hear each branch and leaf crackle under my feet,
like each promise that was broken,
stepped on,
not cared about,

Each tree passes,
faster and faster as i run,
like each face that was just a blurry in my vision,
cause nothing matters,
And so i run away,
from everything,
I tun right off this cliff,
there is no more land under my feet,
There is no turning back now,
I have left everything behind,
And so i jump,
hearing the wind under my wings,
this pathetic poet has nothing more,
my wings are falling apart,
my feathers are falling,

I fall out of the sky,
And land with a thump,
My wing is broken,
I cant fly,
I cant move,
Laying on the ground,
shattered,
there is no reason to move...

About
I am a beautifully broken poet. I wonder why the world has so much hate in it. I hear my heart beat loud as I look at what’s to come in my life. I see the words from my heart flow out and ont.. more..
