The Fallen Angel

The Fallen Angel

A Poem by Kinley Lowe
"

I wrote this to save one of my best friends..

"
The girl in the corner
Who hides her face
Is slowly, surely
Losing her faith

She's giving up
Yet she still holds on
To the sliver of hope
Who has long gone

Despite others pleas
She doesn't see
The beauty inside of her
That I see

She wears a doubtful smile
On her tired face
As if to say, "I'm slowly slipping
From this dreadful place"

She's sees beauty within me
Something I never saw-
That same something inside her
Kept pushing on

She climbs a mountain
She has formed out of regret
She is falling from a cliff
And only I am the only one willing to catch her-
The falling angel-
Yet.
