FatherlessA Poem by Poetically DrivenWhere were you when I needed you most. To tuck me in, read me a night time story and get rid of the ghost? Where were you when I took my first fall, when I needed to get back up & stand tall? Crying out at night for the day when you come home & say baby im here. To tell me that I had nothing to fear because you weren't going anywhere. I had no love from you...Did you even care how this would affect me? I think not, so now I am stuck in being another statistic in the world, as a young woman who falls into the arms of any man because the one she thought loved her let her slip. Now I stand here FATHERLESS. Feeling POWERLESS. But nether the less, I once was FATHERLESS © 2012 Poetically DrivenAuthor's Note
