I don't remember

I don't remember

A Poem by Beatrice Mars

Citrine, Aquamarine

and a stone I
DON'T REMEMBER -

A poetic line from sitting

Around a fire, but

I DON'T REMEMBER -

glasses of wine

But how

Many? - I

DON'T REMEMBER?

Filling a bottle of war watre

Water (scribbled out MIS-spellings - but I DON'T

REMEMBER) So I don't

Feel so bad.

Fleeting attractions

for utterly inapropriate

Older men-

Teachers and bosses

and teachers

Not so much older -

But still -

And not REMEMBER-

ING

Writing and not

remembering the reasoning

for this sounding good

or for this being wildly - vaguely

At all poetic -

I REMEMBER -

But a bottle of

water and fleeting

thoughts and half

remembered 'poetic lines'

And you know?

In the morning

YOU WON'T

REMEMBER

WHY?

OR HOW?

OR EVEN

HOW/WHY?

THIS WAS EVEN POETIC?

(THERE WAS A QUESTION MARK IN THE MIDDLE OF THAT SENTENCE, BUT IT

STRETCHES OVER 3 PAGES? AND

WILL YOU EVEN REMEMBER

YOU

WROTE THIS

AND WOU---

You forgot lost the close bracket.
