Champagne Bubbles

Champagne Bubbles

A Poem by Beatrice Mars

Champagne bubble

Stars, shine

On marzipan clouds.

They fizzle and burst

In the last rays of a

Gummy lace sun.

Champagne stars

Shoot through

A treacle universe, their light

Lost inside the chewy

Hearts of gods,

Who float, waiting.

Champagne starts

Fizzle and burst on
My tongue as I bleed

Red wine blood.
