Hatred

Hatred

A Poem by Beatrice Mars

My freedom is locked

Inside your cage.

My ambition,

Stumped by your

Axe.

My love has been

Squeezed and crushed

By your giant, child

Hands.

My smile has been

Wiped away during your
Spring cleaning.

Your clumsy actions,

Your stumbling around in the dark

Have lost my voice.

You've wriggled your way

Inside me.

And now I'm invisible,

Obliterated

By your

Hatred.
