Moonstone TearsA Poem by Beatrice MarsI want a lot of things I lost
I want a lot of things I can't have.
I want a lot of things I could have.
I get lost (Inside my head) Too easily and I say the word I Too often
I can't win unless I Beat you, Which I suppose makes sense- Except we're on the same team.
I'm confused and alone in the dark. The sky is filled with stars And outlined with clouds. Their gaze is picking me apart, Trying to stare me down.
As tears made of moonstone Drip down my face I look back, Not quite staring, (I know I'll never understand stars) Wondering if I'll ever lose. (Because then you'll love me) © 2010 Beatrice MarsReviews
