Words Like SnowA Poem by Beatrice MarsYour words are coming Thick and Fast now, Just like the Snow outside my window But they're (it's) not at all Beautiful.
Your words are cold, But at least they don't Register (Much like the snow, It melts on impact) I've learnt to Ignore you when You're like this. (Angry and harsh, Like the snow outside)
I'm not some outfit You can peel off At the end of the night, You can't discard me at will. You might try to throw me about, (Like snow, haphazard from heaven) But I know you love me And soon you will calm (Like the snow outside my window, It's starting to settle)
Or maybe, like snow, you will just Stop. (Turn to rain.) © 2010 Beatrice Mars |
