Scent

Scent

A Poem by Beatrice Mars
"

Short and (sickly) Sweet

"

He hangs around,

Long after he's

Gone,

Much like the

Stench of a cigarette

Or the Scent of

Her Perfume

On his skin.

(Long after she's gone.)

The irony is very touching. Yes this is indeed short and (bitter)sweet. I like the cigarette comparison, it's witty.

Keep Writing. ^___^
