Nothing to Say

Nothing to Say

A Poem by Beatrice Mars

I've got to say

I'm pissed off,

Not with you

(You reading this)

Or the Cat,

No,

I'm annoyed with myself,

'Cause I've got nothing to

Say anymore.

This isn't enough,

These short answers,

But I've got nothing more

To say.

I need to still myself,

Just let the words

Come when they come,

Because I've been going this

Long enough

To know how it works.

And anything forced will not be

Right.

I Should set

Down my pen,

Now,

This moment,

But I can't stop myself.

I Hate you

This feeling of dependency,

I can't explain it,

Because it doesn't make sense,

But I don't

Want it you

To disappear,

So I won't heed

My own advice,

I'll just cross

All this out

Tomorrow before dawn.

Recently i've been feeling like everything i write is forced and therefore crappy but not to the extent of 'ten or so ripped out or scribbled out pages.' Even so this is a great poem because it is real. And i can empathise. To an extent. :) hope you get your inspiration or whatever back soon. xx
