Words Made of Jellyfish

Words Made of Jellyfish

A Poem by Beatrice Mars

Words made of jellyfish

Are too much right now,

Down this coal mine.

And my head feels

Just like it does

Before it explodes.

But I stick my head in the

Sand Glitter

So it looks pretty when

Finally I do go

POP!

But it doesn't come,

So I'm forced

To consider

What I might do with

My life,

That there may not be enough

Coal

And that

Glitter is usually

My final solution.

That's okay though,

Glitter is pretty.

It glitters.

Unlike everything

Else,

That is just plain and boring,

So

Yes,

I think I'll stick my head

In the glitter,

Just to see the colours.

Now I'm in pain,

I know I don't have long,

These jellyfish words

Have stung me too hard,

But it's okay,

I needed to do something crazy,

I needed something

To cover up the coal dust.

And it's okay

Don't worry,

Glitter always find it's path away,

But coal turns into diamonds.
