AustraliaA Poem by Beatrice MarsIt's raining.
I want to be
In Australia,
Because there it's
HOT
And sunny,
And lovely,
And Different,
And big.
Maybe I just don't
Want to be
Here.
Same difference.
This glass of
Wine (Or three)
Has warmed me
Up.
But my feet
Are still Cold
And now my head
Hurts.
So I'd rather
Be somewhere
Else.
Protein
Carbs
Fats
Vitamins
And Five A Day
Will keep you going
Nicely.
And a bit of
Music or T.V or Books
Or whatever
And some sport
Will Keep You Going Nicely.
(All the way to somewhere hot
Like Australia)
But it's going to be
Awhile
You've got to get a job
To pay your
Bills off.
You need somewhere to live.
Hey, You got a promo-motion
(PRO MOTION!)
You got a girl!
(You'll be somewhere
Hot next year)
But all of a sudden
You're 35
with a Wife,
Two Kids
And a Mortgage.
And it's still f*****g raining.
('cause you're not in
Australia
You're somewhere cold.)
Maybe Next Year.
