Tranquillity's That Way

Tranquillity's That Way

A Poem by Beatrice Mars

Tranquillity is that
Way (^v<>)
If you can call it
That.
When we're together
It's amazing,
But I get
Tired
Of that feeling quickly.
I can walk away
from you,
easily enough,
In fact
I'm often glad
To go.
Is that such
A crime?

I guess so,
From the way you're
Looking at me.
(Tranquillity's that way >^<v)

I went away
(Tranquillity is that way <>v^)
To take some
Drugs
And when I got back
I found
You had
Committed
Grand Theft Auto.

And from the way you're
Looking at me,
I'm not sure you can pull it off.
(This not guilty thing)
'Cause over there in
The dock,
You look pathetic.
And I can't hear
What the prosecution
Has to say,
Over the sound of your stuttering.
(You are pathetic.)

So I'm gone,                      Out the door
                        (Because)
Tranquillity's                      that way  v<^>
                           (I Am)
More than                           Or Equal
                          (To this)
