Sidéré Marionnette

Sidéré Marionnette

A Poem by Beatrice Mars

There she goes
(Far away)
Again,
Pulling at your
(Puppet strings)
Heart Strings.

You float away
Attached to balloons.

You are Flabbergasted

And you scare easily.

The bottle was
Half empty,
And the glasses
Were half full,
And baby,
You didn't know
What in hell to do.

(You scare easily.)

You were confused
As you
Watched
Me
Smoke
My breadstick
Cigar.

But you ran
When I started
(Stared)
Singing.
('Cause I'm better than her.
                                     Her what floated away.)

When you
Touched her
She melted.
(Like snow on a wet pavement.)

(What does that say?)

You tie your wrist
To balloon strings,
'Cause you wanna
Be there,
Up in the clouds.
(With her)
Seems logical
Your heart puppet
Strings start
Up
There.

She's taken over your mind (heart stings.)

(What you don't realise is that
the clouds are made of eggy bread.)

And now I feel
Sick(ened by
The way
You are
Controlled.)

(Despite the attractiveness of the position.)

Some people just have a hard time letting go. I love the imagery in this. Well described. One thing though:

And now I feelSick(ened beThe wayYou areControlled.)

"be" should be "by".

Other than that, perfectly done.
