Monochrome

Monochrome

A Poem by Beatrice Mars
"

Devils Red, and then there was stars......

"

You Know it before it starts
Eyes through the paper
(is all I have to say)
The small people
(can not spell)
Need Help

Metal scrapes along her heart
She doesn't like the answer
that she got
But the dress
aint long enough
And she aint 'bout to
go screamin'

Trust you to have the
Devils
(phone)
Number
On speed dial

The danger comes when you
(fight)
Sleep
That is when you open your
Mind
(if not your eyes)
to the possibilities

Like I said
(Eyes through the paper)
(Through the eyes of the paper)
Dreams are the key
If you can be remembering
(to fill in the colours).
They are you greatest weapons
against the world
(that still lives in black and white)

You can hide from the girl with
The red ribbon
(bit do you want to?)
She is some colour
in a world of
(Good and Bad)
Black and white
She brings life
to a place
in
Monochrome
(her red ribbon)

White cat
Black Dog
Good angel
Bad devil
(Devil's Red)

So you can turn out all the
lights
'Cause I like the Darkness
(darkness is only the absence of colour)

Then there was
(Light)
Stars

Flood light my life again.
