Heavy Beat

Heavy Beat

A Poem by Beatrice Mars
"

This mess we're in.

"

And now what ever you say
our environment  is a product of our humanity
we must take responsibility
(for this heavy beat)
for this mess we're in

You can't stop the sun from rising
You can't stop the moon from going 'round
you can't keep being so irrational
you can't stop the heavy beat
you know the one
the one that is every where
not sure where it comes from
someone’s gotta take responsibility
(for this heavy beat)
for this mess we're in

Insomnia
forget to eat
Heart beat
(for this heavy beat)
clap the rhythm
I’m sure you'd love me
if it weren't
for this mess we're in

Can you see the photograph?
She's about to jump.
Can't you hear the sound of thunder?
Can't you see the clash of lightening?
you must take responsibility
(for this heavy beat)
for this mess we're in.
