So Easy (to hold you)

So Easy (to hold you)

A Poem by Beatrice Mars

You're just so skinny,
So easy to put my arms around,
So easy to hug
And hold on tight,
So easy to break
Your bones and lay
You flat.

So easy to love you
And so hard to hate,
But so so
Hard -

But maybe
You're the opposite,
So hard to
Love and so wide,
So hard to get
My arms around
You, and so
Hard to understand,
So easy to hold at
Arms length, so easy to
Despise and so easy to
Show contempt -

But maybe you're the
Opposite, so lithe
and stream lined,
So easy to worship
And so easy to put a
Knife in.

(Maybe you're everything, so beautiful and disgusting it's too hard too behold.)
