RUN WITH THE WOLFA Poem by BearThis was written for my friend and female fellow poet ShadowWhysper who has a birthday coming up later this month and has a thing for wolfs. In a blur, the world seems to pass by With a scream of protest, the winds cry Faster and faster comes freedom’s stride For with each step, a different problem is denied Like a trail of fireflies mark the path Does friction sparks show gravity’s wrath For nothing can restrain an unwilling spirit That does not harbor any fear within it A ground-bound comet, a streaking flair Shining bright to challenge any who dare To run with the Wolf on an astral earth Once mastery was won with ShadowWhysper's birth Bear © 2017 BearAuthor's Note
