New technology had Santa uneasy and greatly troubled For houses with security systems had more than doubled With motion detected by air pressure or invisible infrared Along with audio and video alarms to cause him dread Deadbolts, barred windows and chimney security grills More reasons for Santa using headache powders and pills Distracted to tears, absentminded and grouchy as a bear Santa was losing his Christmas spirit and didn't really care From his office, he did storm very disheartened one day Without bothering to pick up his door key along the way With an audibly loud click the door did snap into place And Santa screamed, oh to suffer this ultimate disgrace Thus out went the call for Ernie, Santa's littlest elf All one foot two inches of the master Lockbox himself Who with hands small enough to fit into any keyhole Quickly reached in and with a twist, tumblers did role Santa looked on with shock and was loudly heard to say Ernie Lockbox, your small hands shall save the day Bear

Cute! Love your Christmas poems, Bear. This was very imaginative. Left me wishing it was a children'sbook.
