The world seems aflame as they chase after me Smoke rises up to block my vision so I can't see Igor calls to me from somewhere up ahead To hurry unless I want them to make me dead His laughter is enough to make me wish him so For it was all his fault that into that town we did go Wearing the face of a man that a year ago they hung It is a wonder that on a rope I wasn't already strung If only I can make it back to the doctors castle Once there, these towns people will be no hassle For all fear my lord and maker, Dr. Frankenstein Who else could bring me back to life one more time But from ashes he told me no life is there to bring So I run from the flames even as they try to form a ring Foolish this mad dash across a county side savage and mean And just because Igor forgot to buy any candy for Halloween Bear
I leave most punctuation to the reader that they can read the poem in their own meter, mood and motility. I thank you for taking the time to read my work.

I must say, what's with picture and the theme :D The title itself drew me half here and from then on, I'm chuckling at the picture and reading those lines away in playful glee.
I presume, this write here has some background with the character 'Igor' and ' Frankenstein'. I read up a bit to give myself the context and enjoyed it while imagining the write in my head.
Thanks Bear, nice to read something other than the run-of-the-mill stuff.
The writing style is what leaves an indelible impression on me always :)

I had a poetry group back in the 90's where a picture was posted and everyone wrote a poem about the picture. It was incredible reading how different everyone saw the same picture and the impression they were able to bring it to life in their poems. I really like interpreting the story an artist creates and turn that visual image into words of rhyme. I was often challenged by the group to write a specific kind of poem for a picture like writing something humorous for a serious picture like my poem Training Bra http://www.writerscafe.org/writing/BearMage/1489080/
I will try to find the picture for that poem in my archives and post it with the poem.

Writing a piece of poetry on any picture you see, no easy at all and making it humorous is even more harder. One of the hardest, is to make people smile. For a picture, if it evokes inspiration, we may write a few lines.. but I do agree, it's a challenge to write on any picture, just out of the blue.
Btw, I read the poem "Training Bra".. Though I don't have a first hand experience, [ofcourse, being a guy :D], i could try imagining through the eyes of your write. I'm waiting for the picture, hehehe :P
