A Poem by Bear

Darkened corridors loom before her minds eye
Twisting, turning but offering her no alibi
Deeper into the depths of memories past
She stumbles and staggers but still steadfast

Forgotten nightmares gather to stand in her way
Challenging so her judgment they might sway
But deeper into her thoughts she does descend
Till cobwebbed corners say she has reached the end

Desperate within herself she starts to fight
Willing to grasp any straw leading to the light
Too late, now faced with reality she cant quit
So she tells the teacher "Sorry my dog ate it?"

Right you are but at least the dog was educated :~)
What an outstanding piece of writing. I loved it to much. And it made me feel just like how I felt when I was a kid. Except my excuse was "my sister ate it" JK. Good job Bear.

This is ridiculously dark for something so funny and light, but I definitely remember feeling this way on more than one occasion. I'm impressed Bear!
