RICHARD SIMMONSA Poem by BearJust for fun.
Many an glorious sight has been seen by my eyes
But none so amazing as yesterdays surprise See years of abuse and living in a cruel denial Along with a poor diet had me feeling sick and vile I hid behind words like stout, portly even rawboned Because saying I was fat just could not be condoned Steps were like mountains by the sound of my breath Red faced, heart pounding, I was in the grip of death That was when he appeared and changed my life Making me step back and put down the fork and knife My trips for fast food he replaced with the salad bar Never again would I dine in the confines of my car Fruits and vegetables became the mainstay of my meals Because my goal in life is to one day know how thin feels I know it's possible now because Richard Simmons I did meet And for the first time in years I can see my feet Bear © 2015 BearAuthor's Note
