BABBLE

BABBLE

A Poem by Bear

Rambling words poured from the mad mans mouth
And the people listening in dismay, cheered
Not understanding his words they called it wisdom
Fearing less would show their own ignorance
For a finger pointing cares not its target
Only that someone dared to make the accusation
Meaning measured in understanding is comprehension
While babble is babble no matter the source

Ah! this is a very thoughtful write. Wise words flowing all the way. There's always a thin line between wisdom and ignorance in my opinion. However, as you say - what babble is babble no matter the source. Wisdom is for the wise and rambling is for an obscured mind. I 'll leave it at that!
Very nice read. Thanks for sharing, Bear!

Haha. That's the context then :P
Nice one, bear!
This is such an awesome poem !!! *sorry couldn't contain my excitement* I am not much of a technical person as in I can't really point anything if there is something wrong technically because i am learning a few things myself at the moment (That said I am pretty sure this is technically sound till the end.) But what i can do is be honest and state my thoughts and that is what I shall do ^^. I love the way you portrayed the ramblings at first and in the end how questioning after comprehending is the real key to find out whether the one who spoke really knew what he spoke of or was he just empty vessels making more noise ^^ I liked it a lot ^^

haha well i will keep a close eye on your poems the next time i read ^^
I love this one. "Not understanding his words they called it wisdom. Fearing less would show their own ignorance." This is so true, especially with people today. They take opinion as fact as long as it comes from someone 'higher up' than they. Because "they're smart, what they say MUST be true."
You have a wonderful point of view, and an obvious talent and gift for writing. I can not wait to read more of your work!

I love this, right to the point. I read it very rhythmically, particularly the first line and the last 2 lines.

Nothing in all the world is more dangerous than sincere ignorance and conscientious stupidity.
Martin Luther King, Jr.

We all babble I guess with or without any message, what makes a meaning is the person trying to listen.
If no one listen you can speak as wisely as you want but it doesn't matter.

Thanks for sharing I enjoyed reading this one Bear.

Sad, but too often true. The repetition of 'babble' in the last line works really well because of how nonsensical it is, like babytalk. I really like this one, Bear.
