PALMISTRY

PALMISTRY

A Poem by Bear

The future lies in the palm of your hand
Follow its lines to the promise land
These are the words the fortunetellers use
A profitable entertainment they hope to amuse
Left hand the future right hand the past
And the knowledge they hold is truly vast
A bracelet of diamond shape lines around the wrist
A show that one's intelligence does exist
Then up from the wrist encircling the thumb
The line on which your life is strung
Between thumb and index life's line ends at its start
Emotional information from this the line of heart
Opposite line deals with health and stress
Under the ring finger is the line of success
There are love and worry lines all to help predict
The forces in your life that will conflict
Only the believable fact will the seer state
Anything more would be tempting fate

Hmm...contains a lot of information about palmistry. Unfortunately, most of the palm readers around the world I believe mislead us. That makes palmistry, which could well be an interesting subject to ponder about, lose its substance. I enjoyed reading it. Thank you for sharing!

Woah, she certainly was right.
very well written! wonderful blend of sarcasm and info about the lines!! reminds me of my short poem -
He was running for fortune
along the lines of his palm;
Every line was a dead-end.

He swam steadily in river
of sweat of his brow, then
reached the sea of fortune.
