Slipping

Slipping

A Poem by BearBwian
"

Gratitude for the past, present and future moments.

"

You dream of slipping back into your pads and chasing the boy with the rock
Down a football field gloriously green
Beneath a sun that beat you down and brought you up

You dream of slipping back into her arms
And chasing her with all of your heart
Down through the gate to lie on green grass
Beneath a Harvest moon that beat you down and brought you up

You dream of slipping back into Gus' for a schooner and Jack chaser
With strong men and beautiful women
Before the days of "remember when" memories of grass and sun and moon and love

Then you slip back into the present moment
With a heart full of gratitude for days long past
And great expectations of a future full of grass and sun and moon and love
