DeadlineA Poem by Anonymous
I'm in a race, but I'm not running. 7 billion others got called. Some are lights that show me the way, most are dark that blind my vision and cause me to stray. My Trainer says, "I'll be with you always". But most times I question if He is. As time goes on, I start to progress. No one told me it was this hard. My friends are beside me, but don't seem to be struggling. I question this, but not for long. I see a bend in the road, it's too sharp for me too handle. As I'm free falling, I think this it. In the nick of time, He says I'm not done with you yet. I see the light, amidst all the darkness. And think when will I finally be with You? I try to take as many with as I can; but some aren't willing; some are dead. I'm so near now, I can hear Him calling, "Just push through, I'm with you always."
