Wintry Bliss

Wintry Bliss

A Poem by Scarlet Pulse

An endless white sky above

From it

 Fall tiny unique flurries

Numb from the cold whirling wind

Still able to feel every flake

 Softly make landing

Forming fluffy mountains upon mountains

Coating all life with one heavy layer

Exquisite beauty takes over

Providing a blizzard of peace, a whiteout of serenity

The stillness of winter approaching

And waiting,

A blazing fire persuading embrace and warmth

"...a blizzard of peace...a whiteout of serenity...stillness...approaching..." The use of these three juxtapositions of seemingly opposite ideas really caught my eye. They seem to indicate that, although you wind up in a safe, calm place, the process of getting there was horrific and frightening--nice imagery! Good job!
