Silent Night

Silent Night

A Poem by Scarlet Pulse

Beautiful brisk summer morning

A perfect fallen leaf, shade of magenta

The rest shivering from the wind

Not quite ready to fall

Dark chilled summer evening

A perfect burning birch, shade of grey charcoal

The rest crying from the sight

Not quite ready to burn

Blaze of smoky pink ignites

Perfect floating ashes

The rest trapped inside the pit

Not quite ready
