BlossomA Poem by BdempseyThis is a style I call dictionary poems. I open the dictionary to a random place and write down the first word I see. I do this several times until I come up with a list of random words. I then must use at least one of those words per line and in order.
The words I used: Blossom, claret, coquette, effulgent, impermeable, impersonal, modest, palpitate, plaintive, vapor, zenith A blossom of claret How coquettish How effulgent! And yet her impermeable heart remained impersonal She was considered modest And yet her heart began to palpitate As it gave a plaintive cry Too late! He disappeared as a vapor And the zenith of her life had passed. © 2009 Bdempsey |
