Living Father of my youth

Living Father of my youth

A Poem by Octavian
"

One that is a dedication to a man I call father

"

Living Father of my youth

            Left home, leaving

            Silent words of error

            Slipping like a ghost

            Diving away from me

            Messaging memories
            My only sign

            Dreaming of you

            A man of glory

            Jammed with loss

            Confusion became life

            Vacating your old past

            Seeking out new life

            Minutes became years

            Lessons became fate

            Mistakes became hope

            Discovering a new way

            To drift back

            Home, where you left

A son who saw a dim light

            Older in every form

            No anger vents out

            Only open arms

            Warm tears

            Living father of my youth
