The Spider and the FlyA Poem by BazWhen the spider met the fly...
The big and hairy spider
Saw the juicy little fly And said "Fly down here beside me. Don't be nervous. Don't be shy." But the little fly was wary And said "Surely it would be That if i land down there beside you You will eat me for your tea." But the spider reassured him With a warm and friendly smile "Little friend i shall not harm you We shall simply talk a while." And the fly believed the spider But then much to his dismay He got caught upon the spider's web And could not fly away. "I'm so glad that you could visit me" The hungry spider said And then 'round fly she spun a coat Of sticky silken thread. "But you said you would not eat me!" Her entangled victim cried "I am sorry" grinned the spider "I'm afraid that i have lied." So if you are a little fly Don't ever trust a spider For if you do its sure that you Will end your days inside her... © 2010 BazReviews
