Ugli FruitA Poem by BazThis is for ugli fruit everywhere...From inside the fruit bowl, high on the shelf,
Poor little Ugli Fruit cried to herself.
What's wrong, little Ugli Fruit? Why do you cry?
The ugli fruit wiped off the tear from her eye.
I'm ugly said Ugli Fruit. The problem I've got Is while all other fruits are so pretty, I'm not.
Bananas are curved like a yellow moon crescent, With beautiful skin you unwrap like a present.
Peaches are fuzzy, in which is encased, A soft pulpy flesh with a velvety taste.
Pears have a beautiful tear-shape design, With a rich juicy texture that's simply divine.
Grapes grow in quite an appealing array, With a smooth outer skin and a heady bouquet.
Apples are shiny and often are seen, In red or in yellow or gold or in green.
The fruits are so pretty, now do you see? I'm just ugly old Ugli Fruit; no-one likes me.
Silly old Ugli Fruit; you’re quite a treat. You're juicy and tasty and tender and sweet.
Your skin may be different; is that why you cried? But what's really important is what is inside!
Then Ugli Fruit looked at the skin that she wore. And Ugli Fruit smiled and felt ugly no more.
