Fool me once.

Fool me once.

A Poem by Roberta
"

Just something I needed to let out.

"
You fooled me once, when we were close.
We ended up fractured, and it shows.
You were the most kindly person, well, to me.
Yet this fact, you constantly refused to see.
You picked me up, and put me down,
But you claimed it was me who fooled you around.
In all truth, all I wanted, was sometime to call a friend,
Yet this 'thing' we had, was hard to mend.
And when things got better, we did too.
I was glad to be happy, and glad to have you.
Then three words appeared, and ruined what we had.
And instead I was scared, instead of glad.
Because I didn't want to hurt you, by saying no.
It wasn't my fault, that my feeling's didn't grow.
Because you were the loveliest  guy, and it broke my heart,
To tell you the truth, that we were better apart.
